We waited as long as possible, but the Apex Sunrise and Cary MacGregor Rotary Clubs have decided to postpone the 7th Annual Triangle Oktoberfest at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre until 2021. We would like to share a special thanks to the staff at the Town of Cary who tried hard to come up with a way in 2020 to continue the tradition of the largest and most authentic German festival in North Carolina.
We also wanted to say thanks again to everyone who attended the very successful 6th Annual Triangle Oktoberfest in 2019. With the growing awareness of this incredibly family friendly German festival, the Triangle Oktoberfest Foundation Board was excited to announce that proceeds exceeded our goal of $100,000 and total $320,000 to date in support of over 30 great causes and charitable organizations.
We are committed to this Event and will be using the time to improve logistics and create a truly unique experience. Back in 2021 will be The Polka Brothers from New York City, the parent favorite KinderPlatz, HammerSchlagen and Miss Oktoberfest contests, traditional Bavarian food from Capital Club 16 and Annelore’s German Bakery, Brats from the Butcher’s Market, and of course German beers from Munich and seasonal beers from local craft breweries for everyone to enjoy! New in 2021 will be more food and beer options, a potential Guinness World Record for Wiener Dog Races, bigger prizes for the Stein Hoist, the return of the Futbol Zone, and Livestreams from Germany on the BIG screen above the stage!
Mark your calendars for Friday, October 1st and Saturday, October 2nd as confirmed dates for 2021! Keep a watch on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages or visit our website for more updates. Thank you again for your support! Feel free to share any stories, photos, or feedback to [email protected].
