Triangle Oktoberfest Raises $14K for NC Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Jan. 3, 2018, Cary, N.C. — Leaders of the Rotary Clubs of Apex Sunrise and Cary MacGregor are proud to announce that the Fourth Annual Triangle Oktoberfest at Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre raised $14,000 for the event’s designated charity partner:  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society North Carolina Chapter.

The two-day Triangle Oktoberfest is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in Central North Carolina, and attracted thousands of guests who enjoyed food, drink, music, dancing, competitive games and the popular wiener dog races. After tabulating final income and expenses, the Triangle Oktoberfest Rotary Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, made the check presentation to LLS.

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society North Carolina Chapter was honored to partner with Apex Sunrise and Cary MacGregor Rotary Clubs in support of this wonderful community event,” said Executive Director Emily Blust. “We are thrilled with the success, and the generous proceeds are going to make a tremendous impact for patients living with blood cancers in the Triangle and beyond!”

“This was our most successful Oktoberfest to date, and in true Rotary Club fashion, it combined fun and philanthropy,” said Triangle Oktoberfest Bürgermeister Randy Bossé. “I’d like to thank both Rotary Clubs, the Oktoberfest Committee members, and all of our volunteers, vendors and participants.”
